Got a note from my friend Alan one day
He said treasure might be coming our way

Good old Alan had a fire in his eye
He had clues and needed a second guy
So we packed his Subaru

San Francisco to New Mexico overnight

Trading turns behind the wheel
Highway Junk food our only meals
We rolled into Albuquerque
with a plan for seven days

We rented scuba gear
We acted without fear

Didn’t matter if it’s sunny or it poured

Day 7 came up faster than the morning light
The sad truth is the treasure was out of sight
When we finally came up empty

Back to San Francisco overnight
